Communications
Effective communications enable the faculty to promote its educational
and research programs, build strategic networks and relationships,
and facilitate interaction across the faculty and with external
stakeholders.
Communications at many levels are required
for the faculty to operate successfully in
a rapidly changing national environment and
position itself within the global economy.
The faculty faces considerable pressures with
new government policies and regulations, increased
competition from new training institutions
and intense competition for research funding.
Internal communications within the faculty’s large, complex
and multidisciplinary structure are also a priority.
A range of communications have been established to:
- promote the profile of the faculty in Australia and overseas
- support faculty marketing initiatives
- build relationships with alumni, friends and members of the wider
community
- provide strategic and practical information to staff
- promote interchange of information among staff
