Academic services for the faculty are provided by the academic services group within the Office of the Dean in conjunction with staff within the schools of the faculty.
Academic Programs Committee
This faculty Academic Programs Committee committee is responsible for approval of:
- course and subject proposals: new, amended, suspended or discontinued
- faculty prizes and scholarships
Faculty academic services
Academic services provided for the faculty include:
- Academic Programs Committee executive support
- management of the subject database
- liaison with university Academic Programs and Selection Procedures committees
- coordination of selection processes
- regulatory and policy issues
- academic and general misconduct hearings
School administrative services
Each school of the faculty has an administrative unit which provides the following services:
- selection
- admissions and enrolments
- orientation
- student filing
- applications for leave of absence, special consideration and related student matters
- timetabling and allocation of tutorial and problem-based learning groups
- clinical school placement allocations
- results, progress and completions
- secretarial support for relevant committees
